Tax comparison
The tax rates towns publish cannot be compared with each other, because every town works out its assessed values differently. The Common Mill is what you pay each year for every $1,000 your house is worth, across 72 places in Westchester. On a $2,000,000 house that runs from about $28,171 a year in Mount Pleasant to about $54,210 in Cortlandt — and Greenburgh alone spans ten school districts, $29,531 to $53,997.

62,128 permits, 1915 to 2026. When the village was actually built, the nine bomb-shelter permits pulled in eight weeks of 1961, the 535 generators the year after Sandy, and a hundred years of swimming pools.
Dale Ledger is an online searchable database for Westchester County residential assessment rolls — Scarsdale, Larchmont, City of Rye, Town of Mamaroneck, Village of Mamaroneck, Village of Ardsley, Village of Dobbs Ferry, and Village of Hastings-on-Hudson. Search by address, owner, parcel ID, or plain English like “over 2m.” Open Scarsdale, Larchmont, City of Rye, the Town of Mamaroneck, Mamaroneck Village, Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, or Hastings-on-Hudson. Tax figures are estimates — not your bill. We are not the village, the school district, or the county.
Open the Scarsdale edition. Search by address, owner, or parcel ID. You get assessed value, full market value, a rough tax from published county, school, and village mill rates, elementary zone, and — when on file — permits and board filings. Confirm on Village PROS before any decision. Mill-rate breakdown: How Scarsdale property taxes are calculated.
